TEI Rock Drills CEO Sue Frank Wins Big at 2020 Colorado Manufacturing Awards

Winners were announced August 6th for the annual Colorado Manufacturing Awards, co-hosted by Company Week and Manufacturers Edge. Finalists were vying for top honors in 14 industry and achievement categories.

Montrose-based TEI Rock Drills accomplished an Awards’ first — winning two categories the same year. CEO Sue Frank was selected Colorado Manufacturing Woman of the Year by the Colorado chapter of Women in Manufacturing; and the company won the competitive Industrial and Equipment category.

“I’m so proud of the team I have backing me here down in Montrose, Colorado,” Frank said. “We’ve managed to sell and distribute our products worldwide. We’re extremely proud that we manufacture everything here in-house and our products support other American-made businesses.”

CMA founder and Company Week publisher Bart Taylor commented on the dual wins. “The CMAs are truly a statewide competition and recognizing Sue and TEI Rock Drills in the same year, from Montrose, caps off an exemplary 2020 program.”
