PileJax Wins International Infrastructure and Civil Engineering Award

PileJax, fast becoming the leading industry solution to all marine pile repairs, has won the 2018 JEC Asia Innovation Award in the Infrastructure and Civil Engineering Category at the JEC Asia ceremony presented in Seoul, Korea on 15 November 2018.

The 11th JEC Asia International Conference hosted more than 7,000 professionals from 49 countries with 876 industry leaders involved in the conference. The Innovation Awards are fiercely competitive with applications from hundreds of organisations all vying to win one of the twelve industry categories up for grabs. Each of the category winners are selected by a panel of industry experts from around the world. Created in 1998, the JEC Awards are considered to be one of the industry’s highest accolades in helping to identify, promote and reward the most innovative composite solutions worldwide. Other category winners alongside PileJax in 2018 include some of the world’s largest organisations including Airbus, Daimler, Hyundai, DGA France, Kolon Industries and Cevotec.

Construction and industrial solutions company Joinlox, invented and engineered the PileJax systems to solve the enormous problems associated with the world’s ageing marine infrastructure including road and rail bridges, jetties, wharves, loading terminals, rigs and platforms. Over a period of more than 3 years the company has collaborated with the team of leading scientists and engineers from the Centre for Future Materials at the University of Southern Quensland (Australia), where the various PileJax systems were subjected to detailed engineering analysis and trials to optimise the design, strength, materials and functionality in the field.
