Dieseko Group Reinforces its International Position with the Acquisition of PVE Piling & Drilling Rigs

tips for buying heavy equipment

Dieseko Group, the Sliedrecht-based global market leader and manufacturer of hydraulic vibro equipment and power units is acquiring PVE Piling & Drilling Rigs (PDR) from PVE Cranes in Oosterhout. PDR (turnover of approx. €20m) is a supplier of pile cranes, drill cranes and hydraulic pile drivers. The company will continue to operate independently in Oosterhout, where assembly, repair & maintenance, service and sales activities are currently conducted. Dieseko, in turn, will offer additional production capacity, R&D and sales support from its base in Sliedrecht.

According to Dieseko director Ton Kraak, the acquisition fits perfectly within Dieseko Group’s desired expansion strategy: “Within three years, via targeted product and market diversification, we would like to reinforce our international position in the offshore, road and hydraulic engineering industry and grow our annual turnover to approx. €100m. PDR supplies products that we cannot yet offer our clients. Furthermore, the company has an established position in countries such as the USA and in Eastern Europe, areas in which we want to intensify our activities in the years to come.”

PDR director Arjen Van Der Schaaf is also happy with the acquisition: “Our foundation equipment broadens the range of services that Dieseko can provide. We can now make full use of their reputation, know-how, R&D and marketing capabilities. And of course, we can also use their established dealer network. This will greatly boost our global sales opportunities in regions such as Asia and Latin America.”

At the moment, PDR is predominantly active in Russia, Kazakhstan, Scandinavia and the US. Their clients are primarily specialist foundation contractors from the infrastructural road and hydraulic engineering sector and the industrial and non-residential construction sectors. PDR conducts sales via its offices in Oosterhout, Sliedrecht, Jacksonville (US) and Dubai (UAE), and also via a growing dealer network.

Dieseko Group currently employs 140 people at its head office in Sliedrecht and its offices in Singapore, Brazil and China. Local independent dealerships handle the sales and support activities abroad. One of the group’s strategic goals is to strengthen international relations and growth, particularly in China and Brazil.

Dieseko’s clients, mainly construction and foundation businesses, use these machines not only for the installation of canal-bank protection, harbour quays and motorway viaducts, but also for installing foundation piles for offshore oil rigs and windmill foundations. The many innovations and solid discipline with regard to rental, service, and above all know-how, ensures that this company’s foundations are rock solid.
