Atlantic & Southern Equipment Promotes Steve Evans to President

ATLANTA, Ga. – Atlantic & Southern Equipment (ASE) announces several promotions within its leadership team. Steve Evans has been promoted to corporate president. Michael Holley has been promoted to vice president of Parts & Service.  Ben Land has been promoted to general manager of Ag Sales.

Evans joined Atlantic & Southern at its inception in January, 2002 and has been instrumental in growing the organization focused on serving its customers with Link-Belt cranes and related products.

“Steve’s contributions have been invaluable to Atlantic & Southern. He is an impressive leader with dedication that has helped grow the company and strengthened its valued customer relationships,” said Dave Julian, Senior Vice President, Kelly Tractor Co., owner of Atlantic & Southern.  “His innovative thinking and vision will continue to play a critical role in focusing on employees and customer service.” Under Evan’s leadership, the company has expanded to five branch locations and has increased its product line to include AGCO Corporation, an American agricultural equipment manufacturer.

 

Evans brings more than 39 years of experience in equipment distribution. Prior to joining Atlantic & Southern, he led territory distribution for Owsley & Sons as vice president, and started his career as a sales representative for A.E. Finley & Associates. Evans is a graduate of Tennessee Technological Universityin Cookeville, Tennessee.

Mike Holley also joined Atlantic & Southern at its inception and is responsible for developing the company’s product support capabilities. Mike graduated from Auburn University in 1978 and joined his family’s business, Holley Equipment, a Link-Belt dealer in Birmingham, Alabama.  His career has included positions in accounting, parts and service, and operation management. Holley has been an integral part of the growth Atlantic & Southern has achieved over the past 13 years.

Ben Land joined Atlantic & Southern in 2010 with responsibility for sales of AGCO products in Georgia and Alabama. Land brings 14 years of experience from his tenure with ASE, Yancey Bros. Inc., and Redstone Equipment.  His responsibilities have involved multiple levels of business operations, including product support, sales, and inventory control and customer satisfaction. He is a graduate of the North Georgia College & State University and served in the United States Military attaining the rank of Captain.
